Because You Have No Money

by samuel   Aug 26, 2005

When you carry an empty purse
It becomes too heavy;
A fuller one would be preferable,
By far the lighter!

The weight is in your heart,
Burdensome worry;
There is a passioned heaving
That betrays insecurity.

Because you have no money
You cannot think straight,
Artists make first impressions
With the paper of your face.

Unskilled etchers
In your heart are responsible
For the bad pictorial outcome:
Sadness, insecurity and grief.

    I love the way you write... so much depth, so much meaning.... it was wonderful--- your poems describe something much more than words.... keep up the good work...
