It's hard to put together
The broken pieces of my heart
But I wouldn't be this way

To me you were my world
My love, my everything,
You made me smile and made me laugh

Then one day you said it
right out of the blue
"i don't think its going to work..
i cant again see you."

your words pierced through my heart
as i just sat and took it all
i tried not to let you hear me
as i began to bawl

I don't understand it
i can't see why..
when you told me those things
i just wanted to die

it tore me up inside
when you told me it was the end
i was losing a love so deep
i was losing my best friend

Now I cry myself to sleep at night
wondering why
you had to go and do that
you had to say goodbye..
