This is good. I really like your metaphor, that is your loved one, it's good. very good.

It got a bit lost in the middle but the overall effect was good. I love the way you compared your lover to a rose...its so true...there is beauty but they sure can prick! Nice Poem.

It's nice really. Good word choice but maybe add some more dtails in to make it seem like we can feel what you must have been feeling :)
