Trust

Relationships are vital in this day and age
And no matter who there with they help to pave the way.
Every little thing we do we learn from someone else
We learn to understand a lie and understand the truth
We learn the ones that we can trust and the ones that we cannot
And sometimes in the hardest way we simply get it wrong.
I lived a lifetime trying hard to trust and then I found that someone
I thought was everything, I told her of my life I told her everything
I told her of my love I told her how I felt I told her in the only way
I thought she new the rest. But then she turned my world upside down
She tipped me off my seat, she told me that she didn't care the way I thought she did.
She took away my happiness she took away my soul she took from me the only thing
I treasured in this world. She led me on, she tore apart she shattered all my dreams
She took away the essence of life for me it seems.
To her it probably doesn't matter much, she’ll simply carry on, she’ll continue on her way
And find another touch. But to me I learnt the first time in my life, not to ever trust
Not to put my faith in someone else and certainly not this much. Once again I’ll carry on back from where I was
I’ll treat the people in my life the way that I’ve been taught.
