The Dolphin Statue..

by Brittany   Aug 27, 2005

His lifeless wife lays
In a teal mold
It's smooth and marble
Or so I was told

There's two dolphins
That each hold a ring
Of the groom and the wife
From their wedding

Auntie was a gardener
She loved her flowers
We loved the sunny days
And hated when it showered

But her heart just stopped one day
It couldn't go on
That's kinda like uncle
Cause he's also gone

Uncle was in hospice for a while
A place where you're dying
When you have no hope
And found people crying

It was so hard for me
Not seeing you anymore
I wish I could visit you
As if heaven had a door

I could just walk through it
Say hi and go back to my life
But if that was true...
I'd have you come back with your wife

But it doesn't work that way
You're new home is up there
So remember me on earth
Try to find me down here

And now when I look up
I wonder if that's you
But I only know you exist
In the dolphin statue.
