Sick of Caring

by k i k i   Aug 27, 2005

Went out of my way to help you,
Gave you a hand.
Slapped back in my face,
Through the bruises to confirm.
Wearing thin, I don’t even think,
That there’s a piece of friendship left.

My turn now to change the tables,
And see how you feel, and react.
Still the spotlight, get out of my way,
I’m sick of trying to care.
Everything I did for you,
Washed down the drain.

Seemed like I never did exist,
Neither did my opinion.
Memories of this friendship,
They are all that I hold.
No happy pieces left, everything blue,
I want to forget the whole thing, including you.
