Impossible

Seems like only yesterday that life was only pain,
When living was a journey through the constant pouring rain.
Still doesn’t seem quite possible how hurt was all I knew,
And suddenly those feelings left the day that I found you.

The cold nights are no longer lonely,
They fill me with warmth inside.
Where the love hits my soul so slowly,
To smile in places I cried.

Tonight I witnessed a miracle born upon your eyes,
As if my prayers were answered and they’d heard my dismal cries.
An angel danced upon my skin to charm my tears away,
All this is only true because you brought me life today.

It’s like you’re always here with me,
As though we’re formed as one.
What I’ll be I know we’ll be,
And things I do we’ve done.

I used to cope all by myself and all alone I’d stand,
But now that you’re a part of me I need a helping hand.
It still appears impossible how I got close to you,
To hold me up and whisper words of how we’ll make it through.

I love you more with every day,
But if I cease to tell,
Know what I’m about to say,
In love with you I fell.

Impossible how when we met your heart was free to lend,
I love you more than anyone could ever comprehend.
So if they hold their promise dear and carry on the dance,
I know we’ll be forever and it won’t be down to chance.
