Rocky Shore

by Weeping Wolf   Aug 27, 2005

i climb up with my feet full of scratches
as the rocks cut my bare skin
down to the rocky shore i go
Where the water hits the rocks without a piece of sand in between
Its beautiful
Too just sit there on this perfect rock
So smooth so hard
Security deceives me yet I believe
this couldn't get any more peaceful

I have never been here before
Sadly, i will never come back
So i sit there, as still as the rocks themselves
For 2 ours i watch the waves crash over the rocks...and me
The green fur on the rocks flows
so sweetly clinging to them
The algae does not seem like a pretty thing
but it holds onto the rocks as its last resort

All this nothingness fall into my hands
And yet...i feel overwhelmed.

But theres something so secret in these open shores
A rock untouched by the water, perches on it are words
Carved in with the greatest love I've seen
I read the inscription with awe

"My Love Is So Strong
My Love Is So True
My Love Would Die For Me
I Would Die For Him Too"

Such simple words carved in this stone
I did not write them and Do not know who,
But those words run through me like the water flows over the rocks
Nothing else at the moment matter to me...but those words
Though they may sink from my memory like the cracks through the rocks
I ponder on why someone would write these special words in such an ordinary and shabby place
But I realized after a moment that these words would never been see again
But as rocks cannot die and do not wash away...
Those words can never be forgotten.

So i thank this inspiration
from a love of a stranger
That forever kept this love
on the lonely rocky shores
The words won't be seen
those words...won't be forgotten...
