I watched you change,
and i looked away,
you turned your back,
on all i had to say.
as i tried to understand,
to look past all the pain,
all those unanswered questions,
still waiting for you to explain,
too long without answers,
i couldnt understand,
just how far you were falling,
unable to reach for my hand.
i saw another tear drop,
from the corners of your eyes.
As i watched you fall farther,
i just couldnt hear your cries.
I didnt hear the answers,
to the things i was asking you.
i didnt hear you mentioning,
that all they said was true.
As i turned from our past,
i never heard you say please stay...
i turned my back and as i left
i whispered
"I watched you change,
and i looked away..."
