Drown away the pain
Live within a hole
Run away from fear
But take away your soul?

Fail to show the truth
Rip your self-apart
Lie your way through anger
But throw away your heart?

Live for fourteen years
Hideing behind a mask
Run from the pressure
But then subtract your past?

Don’t dare to start a dream
Throw away your night
Decrease all your power
But then give up the fight?

Throw away a flower
Put away a knife
Hold back the tears
But take away your life?

Sorry you lived within a hole
And ripped yourself apart
I’m sorry about the pressure
And how you threw away your heart.

I’m sorry I wasn’t there
To help you through the night
I’m sorry I wasn’t there
When you finally ended the fight.

So throw away the flower
And put away the knife
Don’t hold back the tears
Now you’ve ended your life.

Now live in peace
There’s no dark hole
Rest your heart
And rest your soul.

NOTE: My close friend's sister commited suicide, I just want to take the chance to say I'm sorry and I pray every night that you'll make it through these rough stages. We'll never forget you Emma

    hi Casey. it takes a a lot of strength and maturity to overcome the uncertainties and pain that one encounters in this life, especially one so young such as Emma. and we can never really understand WHY? one would want to take one's own life can we? a form of escape perhaps? that's how i felt when i contemplated ending this beautiful thing called life too...

    your poem reflects a mind that's wise for someone your age. "take away your soul", "throw away your heart", "subtract your past", "give up the fight"... questions that we should ask ourselves before we decide to throw in the towel. a very good poem. my heart goes out to Emma, her friends and her family... God bless...

    That was so beautiful...Very sad, adn I'm really sorry that you have to go through suicide, i myself have never been through a suicide, but i have had a death, adn i no how you must feel right now, but keep ur head high, and everything will be better...never lose sight in what you love...g'bye hun..i wish you the best of luck in everything you do..
