My Thirteenth Wish

by *~CaSsYa~*   Aug 28, 2005

Candle light glowing into my eyes,
One wish I had,
I had to make it wise,
I didn't want to waste it,
Didn't wanna end up sad.

So I made one wish,
A simple wish but would change,
My teenage life,
My first teenage wish.

All my pre-teen life,
I wished some one could save me,
I needed an angel,
A person who could love me.

Weeks passed,
My crush said he liked me,
So we were a couple,
I "thought" we agreed.

Wonderful times together,
Dances, X'mas, birthdays, Valentines,
That one overnight trip with the band,
Heaven it seemed but it was only a dream.

A year passed and I guess my wish gave out.
Angel turned into a demon,
His love for me turned up-side down.
Promises broke replaced with lies.
Endless sighs, crying in the night.

As time passed away from my birthday,
I learned to stand up and survive alone.
Sometimes when I see couples together so happy,
I know it's just a matter of time,
And their love spell is only part-time.
