The hope

I'm confused, I don't know what to do, she doesn't love him, but wont release him,
she wont admit it, she refuses the offer of happiness and sides with misery,
she wont be mine, and that knowledge cuts through me like a sharp blade.,
and the line that delivers the final blow, we'll still be friends right?
how can you love someone who brings so much pain, I cant understand,
she says no but still I long for yes, the light in the dark, the dark in the light,
I will never give in, and one day me and you will be us.

I don't know if this is any good or not, but its how I feel, and nothing can change that
