Finally Again

She finally talked to him again
and she was still sad when their conversation came to an end
he tried to say he really does care
she tried to explain that her heart has yet to mend

he tried to get her to trust him
she's afraid to
but she needs his help
she doesn't know what to do

she turned to him for help
she wanted to take her own life
she couldn't take it any more
her existence was full of strife

you see he's been through this before
she thought he could help her in a way no one else could
and when she asked him for help
she was surprised to hear that he would

he said he'd do what he could
he'd be there for her
but it's so hard for her to do this again
her hurt from the past still wasn't cured

however she tried
she told him a little about her pain
and he gave her advice
proving that his trust could remain

so she finally talked to him again
and she'll admit it was worth it
while she still loves him with all her heart
and her hurt is still there
it was nice to know that he does truly care
