Driven (to what ends?)

by Drew Gold   Aug 29, 2005

This is an older piece of mine,.. lemme know what you think.

my heart seeded deeply within deception
a part of me bleeding blind affection
it doesn't matter, its all just a lesson
a lesson learned and an emotion burned
scarring deeply but healing completely
the love we shared is no longer there
n I'm still here, living like theres no tomorrow
experiencing life for once, absent of sorrow
feeling like a permanent high,
this is one drug i cant deny,
so i just tell my self: I'm moving on, life's too long
theres no time to think about whether I'm right or wrong
n now my fiber of being is so rightfully thriving
and into the unseen i might as well be diving
will i hit the bottom and never come back to the top?
or will i float to the surface, and give it all Ive got?
