The Greener Grass

Wandering lost down the bittersweet road that led to an insignificant place.
There...
The night was darker, the taste was bitter, the dream sinister
and Forever was never.

With time chasing close behind, we walk beyond the horizon,to a world full of hope.
Now...
The road was shorter, the light was brighter, the taste sweeter
and the lust was hunger

Steps moving forward, Levitating in a whirl pool of dreams, the force pulling us closer.
There..
The grass was greener, the rose was redder, the kiss stronger
and forever was ever.

Now hopelessly in our minds we move back wards in the fog,
And..
the beginning is closer, the night is longer, the dance over,
and the end is nearer.

Over the horizon, gazing with eyes filled with sorrow, the light a distant glowing ember.
We realize.....
