Moon on the Meadow

by Weeping Wolf   Aug 29, 2005

Soft fire crisping our feet
Midnight rain tastes so sweet
Sadness and smoke in our eyes
But thats not what causes our tears
Won't give in to last goodbyes
No such thing here as pride or fear

Moon on the Meadow
Gaze at the shooting stars
Only thing left or you is your shadow
For you I've wept and traveled so far

The fire slowly burns down
Like a candle in the wind
Theres no loneliness found
Where a hand can lend

We walk our last steps together
I sing a last song with you, arm in arm
Someday, we'll come back and stay forever
Then we can rest in peace and away from harm

No one can ever share this love
Not a soul but us could understand
The trees, the water, the stars above
Falling in love with this sacred land

Moon on the Meadow
All that remains is your shadow...
As my memory resides in your soul
Knowing that only you made me whole...

*For The Love Of A Friend*
*I'll Remember Her Till The End*

Dedicated to Emily Shrieber...my wilderness friend
