Shaking She Takes The Knife

by FlowerThatDied   Aug 29, 2005

Looking through the window,
Upon a teary scene,
Girl sitting on the bed alone,
Wanting to scream,
But her family expect things from her,
Good grades and the sweet silence,
She thinks they only had her for show,
So shes letting go.

I watch as she, shaking takes up the knife,
I watch her excitment to end her life,
She thinks they'll notice her now just because shes gone,
But inside the aching heart she was so wrong,
I took her up to heaven as another suicide,
Pleaded her case and time I tried to bide,
I wanted to save a girl like me,
Young, tortured and free,
And she was like me,
She was like me.

I was sent to heaven,
My reasons for suicide were pure,
My core was bleeding, I was torturing myself,
I was still protecting my sanity for my health,
But now I look back,
To that girl so cold, alone,
Could of stopped her heaven knows,
And if I did would it prevail,
So sorry for the tears in this tale,
Sorry for the darkness of its truth,
Sorry for the pain of your sweet depression,
I'm here holding a hand,
I'm here holding a hand.
