My Final Goodbye

To write these words
is most painful to me
expressing my final goodbye,
I look back on
the years we've shared
how recklessly time does fly.

Soon it will end
and we all must part
it will never be the same,
I've come to realize
the horrid truth
now life is no longer a game.

Don't you cry
I speak the truth
how can i carry on?
Just look ahead
this future i dread
it's easier if i were gone.

Pain is no longer
a comforting hand
to catch the tears i cry,
I cannot hold on
i cannot fight
so here is my final goodbye.

    Wonderful poem...I'm not sure if your sayng goodbye to a lover or if you are talking about ending your life...either way...it's very deep. Very dramatic and serious. Love it
