Revenge isn't the way

They came and made us miserable
they came and made us sad
they came and destroyed two beautiful things that we had

they killed a lot of people
so we decided to fight back
but now we're killing so many soldiers as they stay there in Iraq

we made a poor decision
the fighting needs to end
we're making more enemies than we can say we have as friends

you say it will bring us closer
but its tearing us apart
soldiers are leaving there families and dying, your decision wasn't smart

so be the bigger man and undo what went wrong prove to them that our country is now strong

show them that we're better
that we don't need to fight
show them that we don't need weapons to prove to them we're right

you say that they are criminals but we are just as bad
we're killing innocent people and making their families sad

yes they did that to us
so we should look at them and say
we are better people cause revenge isn't the way
