Determined

Looking at the long road that lies ahead, hesitating.
Stretched to it's full length, it patiently waits.
Leaves decorate the lonely sidewalks, motionless.
Darkness begins to fall as shadows dance in the distance.

Loneliness settles in, as I begin to walk the paved road.
The light breeze sends shivers down my spine,
Yet I continue my way, determined to get to the other side.
Determined to make it on my own, escaping reality.

The wind gently urges me to move forward.
It's push gives me courage to continue my way.
Determined to finish the long road that lies ahead.
Determined, but I still have a long long way to go.
