Love Isn't Fair

by Love Fallacy   Aug 30, 2005

I loved you more than I can explain,
I loved you more than life,
I always thought you’d be the same,
I always thought you’d be my wife,

I know that this will never be,
I know that I was wrong,
I just wish that you loved me,
Instead of lying all along,

In small pieces now lies my heart,
I wish that you were here,
All over with a fresh start,
And you to hold me near,

The tears stream down my face,
When I think of you,
I know that no one can take your place,
The loved we shared was true,

I wish that what you felt was real,
And not some mixed emotion,
Because I know the way I feel,
For you I owe total devotion,

I could hold you through the night,
And protect you from your fears,
Always keeping you in sight,
And loving you for many years,

I wish you would love me back,
I wish that you would care,
Instead pain on my heart you stack,
Love just isn’t fair
