Lady in the Red Coat

by Lucy Loves Not   Aug 30, 2005

The lady in the red coat
walks among the trees
trees of livid black and white
engulfed in pigments
motionless static
noise caught in the light

I can hear the crackling
of leaves and earth
beneath her red high heels
Yet her face,
so lonely,
so emotionless...
like a mannequin

She is emotionless
The lady in the red coat
