Could have been

He brought jewels from the moon
From the sun
And ripped the heart out from the sea
He spoke of his passion His admiration for her
Yet she would have none of it from he

She's promised to another how her heart aches for her real prince so
Yet not one of them spoke of love as he brought her the world for of love he did not know

Of passion Admiration and of faith, yes but naive he is he did not speak of love
She did not want of riches and the world but just to know he loves her would be for her enough

Her heart wept as years passed her by He roamed worlds confused and in despair
She has wed another She had no choice yet as her insides ached to confess true love she did not dare

After she bared her children and buried her ailed husband on the hill of their land
She still had waited Her aching soul waiting for her loves hand

At last he came with his heart on his lips To tell her finally of love To spill his heart like his red wine
But alas it's too late she wept That all she had ever wanted from him was his love For he'd been so blind
How much pain she'd felt of waiting a lifetime

Thats all she'd ever needed just to know how much he truly loved her
And yet he too blind Wrapped up in his own mind That he didn't think of true love and happily ever after
