Wow! This poem is so powerful. I have no family or friends that live in that area of the states, and its easy to look at it as a completly unpersonal thing. But reading your poem helped me realise just how personal it is. I was looking at it as just something that happened, not as the catastrophy it truly is. Thank you for writing this poem and opening my eyes. You have a great talent. You got my 5. If I could i would make it a 20. Thats how awsome your poem is. Never stop writing. you have a gift. God bless. |

I also wrote a poem about Katrina. |

Look at it this way-atleast this was a natrual disaster and not caused by some higher powered men sending ppl to destroy others lives...i dont feel bad for them, hell in new orleans i think it cured pleanty of drunks, and those ppl that were poor are all gonna get money and now they get free food and water....the news only shows the bad sh it and takes away from all the ppl and soldiers down there that are helping...nice poem tho |

Great job! It's wonderful that someone is expressing their feelings about Hurricane Katrina through poetry. I'm sure that you're not the only one, but you're the first one I've seen. I'm impressed that you mentioned God in your poem, too... Keep it up!!!! |
