Colorblind

by quick&painless   Aug 31, 2005

Haven't you ever looked,
at the vibrant colors of the world?
haven't you ever watched before you,
as your life unfolds?

Think of all the colors,
that make up your day.
think of all the colorful expressions
in what we say.

Why does it seem like,
you're always black and white?
you're always so depressed,
and always picking fights.

I've never seen you smile,
you always look away.
It's as if your life is only made up of
different shades of gray...

sometimes i wonder,
why do you seem so bland?
your talk is so dull,
and your moves seem as if planned.

you don't seem like you enjoy life,
as much as most people do.
like you just want it to hurry up,
you just want to get through.

some may think you're lonely
and need someone to find,
but i know the truth is,
that you are colorblind.

you are blinded from all the beautiful shades
of happiness in your life,
and this is what brought you to,
turning to the knife....
