This Silence

by Maisha   Sep 1, 2005

Freefalling; can't get my grip
Can't see the bottom
And only a strip
Of light....

A lost little girl
Looks back out of the mirror
And all I can think
Is "is that really me?"

Haunted silences-all I hear
Somehow I manage to stay
Stay here for you
Stay here forever as I die
I die as my life lives on...

Dark circles and haunted eyes
Hollow cheeks and everlasting lies
The scars I hide
Are the permanent kind...

Instead of crying, I smile
Instead of lying, I'm quiet
I don't tell you what's
Wrong inside...

But I know someday
You'll finally crack my silence
The silence I live in
The silence I die in...

This is all I know
My silence grows and grows
Nobody here to fill the void
No one here to help me buy...

I need some help
To end my silence
I need some help
To say the words....

This silence I live in
This silence I die in
This silence I cry in
This silence is me....

Aw ishi, you'll always have me to undoubtedly break your silence, whether you want me to or not :)
