Heart Shattered with Lies

My heart so very fragile
Often ended up in a pile

All tattered and torn
Making me feel all worn

The pieces to mend couldn't be found
Because the were lost in the mound

Why did I look into your eyes
When I knew all you could tell were lies

Day and night I would end up crying
Creating a river to keep on washing

The dirt went away
I saw the light of day

I tried to mend it
But the pieces didn't fit

It will never be the same
