Friends

Off to search this world,
High and low, trying to find where I belong.
White and black, mix of culture
As I wander through clams of people.
Different, all unique,
Everything, in presence.

How did I leave such a place?
Where I knew what was going to happen?
I was loved, cared for by many,
My head lifted high above the building when I was at my lowest.
Heard the sounds of your voice,
Knew what I was missing out on.

Scrambling back to the past,
With you holding my hand.
Starting where we thought had been the end,
Laughing at the times I was sad.
Friends, never less,
Always there, you’re the utter best.
