The cold hard truth about love

by мσяιтυяαм   Sep 2, 2005

You don't die from a broken heart
you only wish you did.
That's what my mother always told me
When I was a kid
she also said
don't make anyone your everything
because when they are gone
you have nothing
You only have one heart
So be careful who you give it to
Some useful advice
I'd listen if I were you
There is nothing to gain,
and everything to lose
there are people out there
who only want to hurt and use
Trying to forget someone you love
is like trying to remember someone you never knew
And unfortunately
That applies to you too
you'll always find
you get attached
Only to get hurt
your heart is left bruised and scratched
he taught you how to love
but not how to stop
Your feelings with never completely fade
You'll wish you were dead, bang just drop
Just always remember
Just because you hate someone
Doesn't mean they'll leave you alone
Just because you love someone
Doesn't mean they'll stay
