Fake A Smile

by Rachel   Sep 2, 2005

I may look happy
But inside I'm screaming
My head is screaming with the words that were never said
Each tear that I cry
Is a smile that I fake
Every cut on my wrist
Is a laugh that I force
All the pain is hidden beneath my fake reality
So the world doesn't know a thing
You think I'm so happy
You think I'm so strong
Look at my wrist
I'm wearing my pain on my body
Every tear that I cry
Is for you
Every cut on my wrist
Is for you
Yes, I look happy
But that's nothing compared to what's inside
With the way I feel now
I find life too short not to fake a smile.
