In just moments;
All there smiles turned to tears;
Their bravery turned to fear,
But as they stood under skies
Which turned from blue to ash,
As all the brave who struggledâ?¦
In what would be their final stand
They hear your prayers;
They understand your pain,
all from a better place.
Where they gave their lives;
For yours and mine.
You\'ve changed all that will ever be,
But you\'ll never know what you meant to me
In what appeared to be,
Nothing less than an eternity,
Angels walking through the hell of flames;
They reached for their hands but never learnt their names.
Lost in the madness, never imagined;
Only their memories remain
Fire and smoke still choked the air,
when everything went from terrible to worse;
as debris quickly thundered towards the earth.
Early that faithful september morning;
Which swept in above them without warning.
