Learn To Love

by Eibutsina   Sep 3, 2005

I don't even know anymore
Where we're heading
If we are on the same path.
For so long together
We walked the same road
In our direction in life
Holding each other's hands
When we were lost or felt confusion
It was the light of one another's support and guidance
That kept us travelling on the same track.

Somewhere along the line
Our journeys grew in different directions
For us both taking a path unknown
One strewn with loneliness, solitude
And compelled with emptiness.
One our path had split
I did turn around
To return to you
To find out where you were
With what we once did share.

But your presence was no longer felt
Your love, your face
Could not be found
It was then I did realise
There was no turning back
That when all is said
And none can be done
Regardless the heartache
Shall forever live on
But hearts to also heal
And learn to love again.

Oh wow! Two months ago I felt the same thing with my best friend. It always seemed as if summer came and school was out we never kept in touch and thats EXACTLY how I felt. Finally after being sick of it for two years I just told her how I felt and dropped it all on her at once and I think our friendship is stronger then before. I really liked the way you wrote this out and I hope things turn out for the best! I love you sis!
    5/5 as always!
