You Owe Yourself

by Eibutsina   Sep 3, 2005

Though your face is full of light and laughter
Your smiling eyes do not deceive me
I can see behind and beyond my sister
Into your trapped depression of desperation
Where your need to escape cannot be fulfilled
For it's by an unknown entity
And congested with a choking fear.
Fear of failure as a wife and a mother
Afraid of what will be, if you decide to make
And live the life you were destined for
One filled with happiness devotion and love.
My heart crumbles into an ocean mass
To hear that quivering sadness in your voice
Whilst you swallow that spectacular pride
Trying to convince me your content and satisfied.
When reality and my knowledge speak another tone
A tone of unbridled desires and needs
Unable to provide you with the coming true of your dreams
There is no one who deserves or did earn it more than you.
After every tribulation you have endured through my sister
It's the least thing you owe yourself.

I really really LOVE your newbies Eirisa! I like the new style of your writing and how it flows when I read it! Such a beautiful dedication, you never do cease to amaze me every time I read something. Occasionally I read your old poems and am shocked all over again as if reading for the first time! I loved this poem and love you as well!!
