Katrina

by Love Fallacy   Sep 3, 2005

Things seemed normal, everything was fine,
But then the weathermen picked up on a sign,
A huge hurricane was on its way,
The people of Louisiana couldn't stay,

Forced to leave their lives behind,
With new hopes and dreams they pray they'll find,
This huge hurricane finally came,
Now the state of Louisiana will never be the same,

Forced into the Astro dome,
Is what some people are now calling home,
Sheltered from the storm, but not safe at all,
Lack of food and water, people start to fall,

People on their knees, they start to pray,
To escape this place, and live another day,
With crime and chaos all around,
Sanity and order can't be found,

Food and water brought in day by day,
Choppers come to rescue without delay,
The sick and injured being treated fast,
But everyone else gets the treatment last,

What a tragedy thats damaged our land,
The American people must now take a stand,
Make sure that we look out for each other,
Treat everyone around you like a brother,

For the people with family lost,
Just know that you'll find them at any cost,
Have faith that you will see them once more,
And the love you have for them, in your heart you'll store,

I can't believe this, its such a shame,
That this horrible storm had came,
Totally destroyed one of our 50 states,
No one will ever forget this date,

Some may try, but they'll never forget,
The terrible day this storm hit,
Her name in mind, when thinking of Louisiana,
No one will forget about the famous Katrina
