Without Her

by Timothy S   Sep 3, 2005

So this is what it feels like to be truly empty
To live without a heart because love ended
Separated from myself I start to end it
Diagonal incision til we're again two halves
The bonds of trust broke open as they spilled
Both torn apart left to fend on their own
No other half, nothing to call my own
Was shown true love, love of the soul
Taken so swiftly, left out in the cold
Deserved what I've gotten
Stopped it without concern
Turned her spotlight off without a word
Unknowing that I darkened her world
Now my light is gone
Now I am without her
