A River Runs Deep

by bianca   Sep 3, 2005

A river runs deep
the blood it falls
my wrists are slit
no turning back now

I grab a towel
and try to hold on
but i know still
im slipping away

In the night
i can see my lief
all the tears i shed
blood and smiles too

but I know the truth
it's easy to see
never was i happy
not once truely

the more i try to see
the fainter it becomes
till i cant see another
reason to hang on

so let my blood fall
and shut your eyes
you don't have to see
i don't have to hide

My arms now shown my wrists are cut
my life is gone
in a river of blood.

There was a deep quality about it, an unsubtle fear, and anxiousness and a calm that was rather entrancing to read.
It sounded plain at first, and lacked that poetic richness, but it seemed to have a layer on it, as though it was covered by a cape of indifference, that was hiding all the emotion underneath.

The words weren't that beautiful, but when you thought about it, the meaning was.

Pretty good, but doesn't blend to well, and you cut the sentances in half which is distracting, but the format was good and the subject was clear. not bad, 3/5
