Tears Of Blood

by Ariah Kaltesh   Sep 3, 2005

This is the tale of a wandering soul
Walking through life with only her goals
Her broken heart is a magnet for lies
So, now her only escape is SI

She feels so alone like nobody cares
And she created a mask that she constantly wears
The mask portrays a bright, positive girl
Whose heart stretches out to the corners of the world

But deep inside she pulls away and retreats
Because long ago she admitted defeat
Those she let in used her and hurt her
And for her broken heart there really isn't a cure

Now the only thing she trusts is the knife on the table
Because she tries to survive the only way she's able
But tears spill from her eyes as the blade digs into her skin
Because she knows that eventually the addiction will win

So, why not now? Why not tonight?
No one would know until the morning light
She lights a few candles and gets a pen and a pad
And writes this note with words so sad

"I loved you all but you didn't seem to care
I opened up to you and left my heart bare
But you all used me and took me for granted
So, now I'm going where I might finally be wanted"

Dressed in pure white, she lies down on her bed
Her face is pale, but her lips are bright red
She closes her eyes and digs the blade in
She slits her wrists and lets the pain win
