Bring out the mainsail and cast it on high
Its black creases billowing beneath the night sky
Forget the war, the poverty the human enemy
Draw your masterpiece to freedom and sail away with me

Put your hand in mine and let me show you the way
Sleep not with murderous intentions of day
Come to fantasy, sit upon the magic clouds
Great spheres of merriment stashed in the crowds

Extradite the pain and shroud the new sadness
Hold me and join in with the insanity and madness
Sail the shining ocean, throw shadows to the sea
Sing your opera to virtue and sail away with me

Hush child, forget those sugar coated lies
Bring along your family within their bitter eyes
Float upon each precious tragedy and mock in fear
Destroy the agony and let loose the violet tears

Live life to the limit, forget to keep your mind
Beware of the creatures that stalk you not far behind
Let the anthems smash and drown our begotten history
Play your concerto and sail away with me..

    WOW. i just love this poem. for some odd reason it made my eyes water, not many poems have ever been able to do that to me. it's just a wonderful peice. i love it! maybe one of my favorites from you, or at least in my top five. keep up the awesome work!

    Such a great poem...here's a challenge for you, for each poem like this you write you have to give a summary of what it is about at the end, for the less intelligent of us all who are not sure on the exact meaning of, I of corse totally got it :S lol no really it was amazing as always...love you so much
