Mirror

by dandy   Sep 3, 2005

Climb into the mirror and give up my soul.
Torn up by pain, it is no longer whole.

Look back towards the portal from hence which I came.
I'm through with this life; I give up my name.

Take what you want, do what you will.
My heart is ripped out; enjoy the bloody thrill.

A hole in my chest, these demons now enter.
Freezing emotion now make up my center.

Cold-blood runs through veins;
dry rivers of ice.
Mind and limbs numb; Try to move once, then twice.

A knife of sadness cuts through my dead skin.
Transparent blood bleeds from lifeless tissue within.

It feels good to feel nothing,
pain receptors are gone.
Take one final look in the mirror;
see the life for which I still long.

    Formed of hope, thy new heart shall be.
    Thread of light, needle of happiness sewing the cuts of the blade of sadness.
    Though new life i can not give, nor soul once tender
    Hope for a new day I can, and the love of a friend.

    Although well written, as always, I hope that this one is just that...written. Hope you really don't feal this way. If you do though...i'm here if you need it.
