Being Me

by Broken Soul   Sep 3, 2005

I left this earth
All night I flew
As if in search
of the soul I knew

Caught one silver glimpse
Then I came home
To start one more day
All Alone

Each silver night
My hope returned
But day by day
My hopes were burned

My lonely pain
It tore a hole
And there I hid
Without my soul

But hiding there
It didn't help
All it did was
Hide me from myself

I could not see
Where I had gone
but then I woke
and saw the dawn

Sunrise saved me
From sinking down
To no return
Beyond thought and sound

And when I saw
The light of Day
All pain was gone
My soul was saved

Released myself
From chains I'd made
And faced the world
Unafraid

My soul unbound
Forever Free
I was finally back
To being me
