Sips of Life

by Broken Soul   Sep 3, 2005

Inhale the coffee
But don't drink it
Smells good, tastes bad

Sniff the flowers
But don't pick them
If you do they will die

Tantalize your tongue with
Good smells from the kitchen
like freshly baked brownies
Tarragon, Cinnamon, Cayenne

Listen to sample CDs in the store
But don't buy them
The music might be spoiled

Cuddle with the abandoned Puppy
But don't buy her
She will not be the same as your lost dog... Maggie

Let a tear slide down your cheek
But don't sob
You will look foolish

Take tentative sips of life
But don't gulp down the whole glass
You could choke!
