Death's Embrace

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Sep 4, 2005

Silence reigns in the street, abandoned.
Darkness envelops its arms around the city.
Trees dance with the rhythm of the wind.

Through the dark, a shadow is projected.
Moving silently, camouflaged in black.
Gripping something in its hands.
A silver object glistens in the night.

As I approach the scene fled by the stranger,
I notice water drowning the street, soaked.
As I peer more closely at the wet pavement,
Red liquid reaches my white shoes, stained.

Looking ahead, a silhouette lays on the road.
Motionless, greated by death's embrace.
