Emptiness

by Avrii Monrielle   Sep 5, 2005

Trees,fallen on the ground
Roots upturned from soil
Water,drained from rivers and lakes
To form a land of destruction

Stones,thrown into piles
Flowers no longer having color
Is this what we should meet
When we walk into a chaos?

Mountains,drilled into tunnels
Electricity put into place
There is no excuse
To wipe the sadness off your face

Everywhere you look,
The forest has turned into a waste land
Here,many years ago
You could have felt a leaf in the palm of your hand

Is this what we have to show
To be civilized?
Could we not have just lived peacefully
So no tears would decorate our eyes?

Our land has become a dark place
Which can only be named one word
The name of our land lies in the thought
Emptiness

If only our voices could be heard...
