In Dreams

by Chelsea   Sep 5, 2005

In dreams, you can climb the tallest of mountains
With the greatest of ease
You can grasp anything you want
And everything’s in reach
You can look into the eyes of a stranger
And they become your friend
You can pick a dirty old rock
And turn it into a gem

In dreams, your friends are near
And never too far
You can speed everyday in your sports car
And never see a cop
You can win the lottery
And with your very first ticket
You can apply to any college
And get accepted in

But in dreams, things can fall apart
And tear into pieces
Your closest friends
Can become your enemies
In dreams your world can be a living hell
And there’s nothing you can do
Except pray you will awake
When the morning calls
