The perfect lover

by edsel   Sep 5, 2005

Dear child,

I wrote you before you were written
I held you before you were born
I knew you before your first walk
I fixed you before you were torn

I was your tears when you were crying
I kept your smile in my heart
I could not just could not leave you
I will die again if we part

I sung you before you could sing
I held you fast in my chest
nothing in this vast universe could bring
the joy you give in your childish jests

you are worth the pain and the blood
the cross and crown of thorns
when everything has been said and done
I LOVE YOU still, in you I am reborn

---Jesus
