The Words You Say

You don't understand the words you say,
How they affect me in such a way.

Why is it that you resent me so?
Why must you leave me feeling so low?

So low that i no longer want to stay,
Left here alone, all i can do is pray.

What do i do that is so wrong?
Left me reeling just like a song.

Motionless this broken body lays,
Hoping for just one better day.

Is that too much to ask,
Is it such an impossible task?

I'm thinking of you as i make this sway,
Going to a better place, I'm going away.
