Stubborn Pride.

by Steven Beesley   Sep 6, 2005

He is filled to the brim
Like a puffer fish so bloated
King of his castle?
So it would seem?

Selfish and arrogant
correct in self taught wisdom
Illusioned by self-importance
These shall cause his fall and final impotence

Yet he feels surrounded by pure ignorance
Sarcastic in character, but not meaning to tease
Never wanting to hear
What others have for thought

Stubborn pride, he will come crumbling
A matter of time
Blinded to sincerity
So fearless and great is he

Being first always, he's number one
Oh how he values it, such a flake is he
One day he will but realize
Just how very lonely is he

For his pride will have the better of him
We shall all wait and see
Picking up small pieces
His life fragmented, far from us he will be...
