My Reflection

by Kayla   Sep 6, 2005

The reflection in the water.
Glistening for all to see.
When I gaze down in the water,
My reflection isn't me.

My reflection is distorted,
In one too many ways.
Always moving all around.
It never really stays.

There's a constant ripple,
From someone throwing rocks.
Always trying to bring me down,
To drown beneath the docks.

Now all I wants to surface,
And take a look around.
For my broken image,
And remain soft and sound.
