I look for you as I stare at the heaven's above.
And I see the flight of a white lonesome dove
In flight towards me, flying into my storm
This dove led me to a place where it's safe and it's warm
Away from the hate and away from the pain
falling down to my knees I begin to pray...
Dear Lord...
Hear my voice, hear my cries
I am so scared and feel all alone
Where is my faith and where is your love
Where is this joy I seek from the heaven's above
Where is this road that leads me to you
Give me the strength to believe in you
From this day forward I want to live
To feel your love and learn to forgive
Please give me strength to stand on my own...
Then a light came shinning down on me
I closed my eyes when the warmth surrounded me
I heard a voice I have known all my life
A voice I have always ignored until this time
Slowly pulling me up from down on my knees
This voice started talking to me...
He told me he has always been there by my side
And that he held me every time that I've cried
He told me that he loved me and to be strong
To open my heart and to hold on
That he forgives me of all of my sins
And all I would have to do is to invite him in
Into my heart and into my life
That this is the first step of many to a new beginning and a new life....
Over come with peace I fall to my knees
Greatful for the love he has given to me
Erasing all the doubt and all of my shame
Taking me to this place I hope to remain
My faith in the lord is stronger than before
Closing my eyes, I began to pray once more...

I have found my faith and my place in your home
You have cleansed me of my sins and all of my pain
I know now, by my side you have always remained
You have shown me the path and shown me where to begin
