Taking a new step

We stepped on the wrong foot,
The one that's not right.
We stepped in cement,
We're stuck there but stuck togehter.

It's awkward to "talk to each other,
We met on the computer,
IN real life you're near-by,
In the halls you say "hi",
But just doesn't feel right...

We know so much about each other,
But can't choose me or stick to the others.
How are we supposed to "hang out" at school?
Will you be able to talk to me and still look "cool?"

"You look beautiful in that dress"
You say, but doesn't mean much on IM.
Feelings don't mean much behind the screen,
I can't tell what your facial expression is,
It's hard to tell what you mean.

How are we going to face the reality?
Friendship behind the screen,
Is it possible to not blush when I talk to you?
Will you blush too?

Now we're suposed to meet each other at school,
Face-to0face, wow that's a big step,
Oh how can I see your true face,
And be able to "laugh-out-loud"?

We stepped on the wrong foot,

We can't take it back,
But I believe we can alway try to take a new step.
